Target killers, not part of political parties: Malik
ISLAMABAD, Apr 15 (APP): Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Friday that the arrested target killers in Karachi are not part of political parties and the government will not spare any criminal in this regard.Talking to reporters outside the Parliament House, he said the government was taking strict action against those criminals who are involved in target killing and extortion.Replying to a question, he said with the efforts of security forces, not a single incident of targeted killing has been reported in Karachi since Thursday.
To another question, he said that it seeems that target killers were trying to seek shelter of political parties.
He said all incidents were not target killings and some culprits had been arrested and other would be exposed soon.
He said some persons were killed by their rivals in Karachi, as recently two brothers were killed by their enemies.
To a question, Malik said certain elements were playing in the hands of enemies and were acting against the interests of the country.
He said that in future prepaid SIMs would be delivered at the addresses which are mentioned in the applicants’ National Identity Cards.
Replying to a question, he said in Passport Department, number of machines has been increased to facilitate the people and if issue could not be resolved, then passport printing process would be given to NADRA.
He said India had handed over the Samjhota Express Report to Pakistan but it will be not shared with media.
