US Deputy Special Representative for Afghanistan-Pakistan calls on Rehman Malik
ISLAMABAD, Nov 17 (APP): US Deputy Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Ann Elizabeth Jones along with a delegation called on Federal Minister for Interior, Senator A.  Rehman Malik here on Thursday. The meeting was held in a very cordial atmosphere in which both the sides discussed matters pertaining to controling improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The Minister informed the delegation that a law will be promulgated for effective control of IEDs.The delegation appreciated efforts of Pakistan Government for controlling IEDs and ending of terrorism.
Meanwhile, a delegation of European Union led by European Union Ambassador to Pakistan, Lars-Gunnar Wigemark also called on the Federal Minister of Interior.
 During the meeting, matters related to issuance of visa, visit of European Union Secretary General to Pakistan and security of Diplomatic Enclave were came under discussion.
 A few members of National and Provincial Assemblies also met Senator Rehman Malik and discussed problems beings faced in their respective constituencies.
 They also apprised the minister about matters related to NADRA and passports.
 The minister issued immediate directives for redressal of the problems related to NADRA and passports.
