Pak-China friendship to grow further in days to come: Malik

Minister for Interior Rehman A. Malik said on Thursday that Pakistan-China friendship is an all weather and time-tested, which is bound to go from strength to strength in days to come.This he said during a meeting with  outgoing Ambassador of Peoples Republic of China, Luo Zhaohui, who paid a farewell call on him.Both the dignitaries exchanged views on matters of bilateral interest with special reference to increasing and enhancing Parliamentary interaction between Pakistan and China and promoting cultural exchanges.
Rehman Malik termed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto as the architect of Sino-Pak friendship, which, he said was further consolidated during the era of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
He said that Pak-China friendship is all weather and time-tested, which is bound to go from strength to strength in days to come.
He added that this friendship is responsible for the strength and stability in our region and the achievements made by Peoples Republic of China in various fields is a source of pride for Pakistanis.
Malik said Pak-China friendship is a model of inter-state relations.He said that the outgoing Chinese ambassador played da key role on further cementing of the bilateral relations and described him as a great friend and well-wisher of Pakistan.
The ambassador said he would always cherish memories of his stay in the country adding that the friendship; descends all barriers of time and space. He also thanked the Government for the hospitality extended to him during his tenure.
