Heirs get bodies after identification through DNA: Rehman Malik 

      
ISLAMABAD, Jul 29 (APP):Federal minister for Interior Rehman Malik on Thursday confirmed that 66 bodies had been handed over to their heirs after their identification through DNA. Talking to media here he said the blackbox of the crashed plane had not been found yet. “It was a box-like something and initially considered to be a black box by the experts but later we recognized that it’s not the equipment” he said. He said that the authorities carried out a ‘successful’ rescue operation after the country’s worst ever airline disaster.
“It was a complete and successful rescue work”, he said.
He said many charred bodies were still being kept at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) hospital for DNA test.40 DNA samples have been taken till now,he added.
Rehman Malik said Chairman NADRA has been asked to take finger prints, as this had helped to identify 14 bodies.
Replying to a question he rejected the propaganda that transport was not available for the relatives to take the bodies home and said “We are facilitating the families to the maximum”.
To another query he said a thorough and transparent investigation has been ordered into the incident.
About the possibility of terrorism he said during the probe each aspect of the crash will be taken into consideration.
He further said ‘Safety Investigation Board’ is carrying out investigation and Ministry of Interior was facilitating it.    
While replying to another question Federal Minister said bad weather had forced suspension of rescue operation on the site of plane crash. “We will provide helicopters and i will also visit the site” once the weather gets cleared. 
He informed the media persons that rangers was moved immediately to the site of the plane crash.
To a question he said he would check if anyone has refused to provide ambulance.He said hospitals had also been asked to provide ambulances to heirs of victims.
