Probe underway in two brothers’ murder: Rehman Malik

SIALKOT, Aug 22 (APP): Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said efforts are being made for brining facts before the public about the brutal murder of two brothers. Talking to the media at the residence of the bereaved family on Sunday, he said investigation was being made on different angles for finding facts in the brutal killings. He said that supremacy of law would be ensured at all cost in the country and nobody could be allowed to take the law into his own hands. Such incidents are a stigma and bring a bad name to Pakistan and the President and the Prime Minister have taken a serious notice of the incident, he added.
Rehman Malik said the federal and provincial governments and investigating agencies were trying their best for digging out ground realities in the double murder. He called upon people to extend cooperation and inform the administration about facts to ensure justice in the case.
The minister said the issue should not be politicised and collective efforts were direly needed for ensuring justice to the bereaved family.
Malik said that strict action would be taken against police after investigation. All culprits will be brought to book, he added.  Rehman Malik said that a strategy was being formulated to deweaponise the country and work for the purpose would start soon.
