RAWALPINDI, Sept 22 (APP) Regional Police Officer Rawalpindi, Muhammad Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja reviewed the security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Harram and directed to strengthen the security of worship places Majalis / Jaloos and Imambargahs here on Friday.
As per handout issued from the Office of Regional Police Officer Rawalpindi, RPO said that nothing could be more important than maintaining the law and order therefore maximum attention has been paid in this direction.
He stressed the need for maintaining an atmosphere of religious harmony and brotherhood through divisional and district peace committees in their respective areas.
RPO said no one would be allowed to stand on rooftops of commercial and residential buildings situated along the routes of mourning processions.
Single entry/exit points for Majalis / Jaloos to be ensured. Use of modern security gadgets like metal detectors, walkthrough gates, Mobile phone jammers, CCTV Cameras must be ensured. High ups of the Police personally monitor all the main congregations, picketing and patrolling must be intensified during dispersal of religions gatherings”, RPO said.
