Donot forget nearby deserving children in Eid shopping

ISLAMABAD, Jun 18 (APP):

Destitute children of nearby
localities are most vulnerable for the attention of people

shopping for their own families to share Eid joys.

Buying a little stuff for the children of destitute families
will put a glittering smile on the faces of those little angels
besides an easy way to acquire Divine love in the Holy month of
Ramzan.

Meanwhile Children of orphan families in nearby homes or the garbage
collection little kids with huge garbage bags on their back should
be awaiting for sympathy of the people who come forward and render
their kind hand to share their joy with them.

The word `Eid’ which means `Joy’ would only be served
through remembering others and including them in the festival
rather than only showing mercy towards them.
Buying an extra dress or shoes for only one child each
family would not be burden on pockets of people realized that all
the children have same emotions.

Distribution of food and giving alms is a common practice in
the Holy month of Ramzan

but the tradition of buying new Eid
clothes, shoes and other stuff, which people buy for their own
children, as well for children of deserving families still lacks
behind in our society.

Children admitted in hospitals, homeless street children or
those living in orphanages could pass the day of Eid like other
365 days of the year however, a little act of kindness would turn
their day special arousing a sense of self respect and self
confidence among them.

Dr. Khalid of Benazir Bhutto Hospital shared that blank eyes
of children ward patients was hard to bear on Eid day. Besides
their illness the sense to be alone confined on hospital bed was
unexplainable.

“They hospital staff try to have fun collectively and share
Eid greetings with them but if some outsider came to visit them
and distribute even toffees children’s joy was exuberant”, he
stated.

Last year few volunteers from universities visited hospital
children ward on Eid, decorated walls and beds with buntings,
balloons and other accessories, distributed Eid gifts and
amazingly it not only excited patients but their recovery ration
has also increased.

Asad Abrar, a social worker from Lahore told that no doubt they
used to visit orphan homes on Eid day as those kids are also part
of our society and also have equal right to celebrate Eid.
Unfortunately, he said, this trend is so rare that people
visit hospitals, orphanage or shelter homes on festivals, but
internationally it is a very common practice.

even so civilized nations make special arrangements for such
segments of society, prepare special food for them, distribute Eid
gifts with respect to boast their moral remembering that anyone
can be at this stage as life is so unpredictable.

accordingly to this age of frustration in the developing countries
like Pakistan, it is direly needed to focus on such norms to make
base of society strongly which increase connectivity and
strengthen people to people bonds laying a foundation of self help
cemented nation who holds each other hands in hour of need.
