Pak aircraft shot down by India; 16 dead

Pakistan fires missile on Indian jets
ISLAMABAD (Pakistan), Aug 11 (APP): Pakistani Army Spokesman Brigadier Rashid Qureshi said Wednesday that Indian Air Force jets which intruded into Pakistani airspace were fired upon with surface to air missile. " I was told while visiting site of the wreckage that Indian air force jets tried to intrude in our airspace and they were engaged by missile fire", he told CNN. Two Indian helicopters also tried to approach the site of wreckage of naval aircraft near Badin, but were not engaged, Qureshi quoted army personnel as saying. So the missile was fired at the Indian air force jets, he added. " I do not know of any incident where missile was fired against any Indian helicopter," he said
