European stocks stable at open

LONDON, (APP/AFP) – Europe’s main stock
markets held steady at the start of trading on Wednesday, on the eve of a monetary policy decision from the European Central Bank.
London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index started the day essentially flat at
6,824.72 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt’s DAX 30 rose 0.2 percent to 10,706.86 points and the Paris CAC 40 also won about 0.2 percent compared with the close on Tuesday, to open at 4,536.95.
The ECB, comforted by better-than-expected data since Britain’s vote to quit the EU, is expected to keep drastic monetary policy changes in reserve when it meets Thursday, according to analysts.
