ISLAMABAD, May 26 (APP): Merger of adhoc relief to basic
salary of government employees and 10 percent pay raise on the
new basic, would give a reasonable relief which would eventually
improve their living standard.
Member National Assembly Maiza Hameed stated that the merger
of adhoc relief to basic salary is a significant step of the
government and 10 percent pay raise on the new salary would be
beneficial for people to manage their household expenditures
easily.
The relief given to the farmer would decrease prices of
agri products as the prices of daily use commodities would decrease
whereas crops production would increase due to the relief packages
announced for them which raise their export volume giving a good
relief to people at grassroots level, she told APP.
She stated that increase of duty on tobacco and its products
would help keep people especially younger generation away from
smoking. She shared that this curse is ruining future generation
and the positive initiative by the government is a remarkable
step, she added.
She further shared that the steps of the government would be
beneficial for household women and people of low income groups.
