Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks end higher

HONG KONG, (APP/AFP): Chinese stocks rose Monday on hopes
the government will soon launch a scheme to link trading on the Shenzhen exchange with the Hong Kong bourse.
The Hang Seng Index advanced 0.73 percent, or 165.60 points, to 22,932.51.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index jumped 2.44 percent, or 74.53
points, to 3,125.20 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, surged 2.51 percent, or 49.57 points, to 2,023.24.
