Hong Kong stocks end morning lower

HONG KONG, Dec 12, (APP/AFP) – Hong Kong stocks
tumbled Monday morning as a pick-up in energy firms was overshadowed by concerns about the impact of an expected US interest rate hike this week.
The Hang Seng Index shed 1.13 percent, or 257.95 points, to 22,503.03 by the break.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 2.03 percent, or 65.51 points, to 3,167.37, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, fell 2.85 percent, or 58.99 points, to 2,011.02.
