Hong Kong stocks finish morning on a high

HONG KONG, Oct 31 (APP/AFP) – Hong Kong stocks reversed early losses Monday to end the morning slightly higher on bargain-buying after four straight losses, but gains were limited as energy firms were hit by falling oil prices. The Hang Seng index added 0.13 percent, or 29.60 points, to 22,984.41 by the break. But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.45 percent, or 14.10 points, to 3,090.17 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, dropped 0.47 percent, or 9.69 points, to 2,042.33
