Hong Kong stocks resume rally in morning

HONG KONG, (MILLAT/APP/AFP) – Hong Kong stocks resumed
a rally Wednesday morning after Federal Reserve boss Janet Yellen said the US economy was strengthening and suggested an interest rate hike could come as soon as next month.
The Hang Seng Index jumped 1.26 percent, or 299.56 points up at 24,002.57.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.31 percent, or 10.07 points, to 3,228.00 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, inched 0.02 percent higher, or 0.36 points, to 1,964.68.
