Hong Kong stocks sink by the close

HONG KONG, (MILLAT ONLINE/APP/AFP) – Hong Kong stocks
sank Tuesday, shrugging off a positive lead from Wall Street in post-holiday trade.
The Hang Seng Index closed down 1.39 percent, or 337.12 points, to 23,924.54
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.79 percent, or 25.46 points, to 3,196.71 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, lost 0.62 percent, or 12.13 points, to 1,946.42.
