Shanghai stocks end lower for second session

HONG KONG, (APP/AFP) – Shanghai stocks sank
more than two percent Thursday as ongoing worries about the Chinese economy overshadowed strong inflation data, while Hong Kong also retreated on late selling.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 2.02 percent, or 57.83
points, to 2,804.73 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on
China’s second exchange, lost 1.43 percent, or 24.47 points, to 1,688.97.
In Hong Kong the Hang Seng Index ended marginally lower, dipping
11.84 points to 19,984.42.
