Shanghai stocks snap six-day streak to end lower

HONG KONG, (APP/AFP) – Shanghai stocks sank Wednesday to
break a six-day winning streak as concerns over the Chinese economy returned to trading floors.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slid 1.34 percent, or 38.83
points, to 2,862.56, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, dropped 2.12 percent, or 37.10 points, to 1,713.44.
In Hong Kong the Hang Seng Index was marginally lower, ending 15.32
points down at 19,996.26.
