KARACHI, (APP): Shipping activity remained active at the
Port Qasim (PQ).
Three ships C.V Mataquito, C.V MSC Rachele and
M.T Argent Fresia carrying containers and Phosphoric Acid were berthed
at Qasim International Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal
respectively on Thursday, March 10 2016.
Meanwhile four more ships carrying Containers, Palm Oil and
Chemicals also arrive at outer anchorage of PQ during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was managed at the Port at seventy three percent
on Thursday where a total of eleven ships namely C.V Mataquito, C.V
MSC Rachele, C.V CMA CGM Thames, C.V Mearsk Skarstind, M.V An African,
M.T Mnas, M.T Maran Gastroy, M.T Shalamar, M.T Liberty-N M.T Argent
Fresia and M.V Oceanis were occupied at PQA berths to load/ offload
Containers, Cement, Palm oil, LNG, Furnace oil and LPG and Soya Bean
Seeds respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 198,361 tonnes, comprising 150,236 tones
imports and 48,125 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerized cargo
carried in 4,544 Containers (TEUs) was handled a the Port during last
24 hours.
Four ships C.V Mataquito, C.V Mearsk Skarstind, M.T Manas and M.T
Shalamar sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while three more ships
C.V MSC Rachela, M.T Maran Gastroy and M.T Liberty-N are expected to
sail on same day afternoon.

respectively on Friday, March 11, 2016, while four more ships C.V MSC
Albany, C.V TG Poseidon, M.V Di Zi Yui and M.V Fearless are due to
arrive at Port Qasim on same day.
