Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI, (APP): Two ships C.V Maersk Karachi and M.T White
Purl carrying containers and LPG were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Meanwhile three more ships with containers palm oil also arrive
at outer anchorage of port during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was managed at the port at sixty percent on Wednesday where a total of nine ships namely C.V Maersk Karachi, C.V Al-Rawdah, M.V Meli Mass, M.V Han De, M.V Alam Mutiara, M.V Pabur, M.T Agiri, M.T Geng Hai-6, M.T Al-Gattara and M.T White Purl are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, general cargo, coal, canola seeds, furnace oil, palm oil LNG and LPG respectively during last 24 hours.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 166,751 tonnes,
comprising 149,078 tonnes imports and 17,673 tonnes exports, inclusive
of containerized cargo carried in 2,333 containers (TEUs) was handled
at the port.
Oil tanker ‘Agiri’ is expected to sail on Thursday afternoon.
Four ships, C.V MSC Beijing, C.V Jadrana, C.V Maipo and M>T Al-
Dasma carrying containers, and diesel oil are expected to take berths
at Container Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively o Thursday,
while two more container ships ‘Rio Brvo’ and “Maersk Inoshima’ are
due to arrive at Port Qaim on Friday.
