KARACHI, (APP): Shipping activity remained active at the
Port Qasim (PQ) where two ships, C.V ACX Crystal and M.V Oceanis
carrying containers and Soya Bean Seeds were allotted berths at Qasim
International Container Terminal and Grain and Fertilizer Terminal
respectively during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was observed at the Port at 33% on Sunday where a
total of five ships namely C.V ACX Crystal, C.V MSC Al-Ghero, M.V
Oceanis, M.T Clipper Viking and M.T Quetta are currently occupying
berths to load/ offload Containers, Soya Bean Seeds, Chemicals and
Furnace Oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 59,996 tonnes, comprising 29,311 tonnes imports
and 30,685 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in
2,039 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
Two ships C.V MSC Al-Ghero and M.T Quetta sailed out to sea on
Monday morning while two more ships C.V ACX Crystal and M.T Clipper
Viking are expected to sail on same day.
