Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI, (APP): M.T Bunga Aster carrying 21.000 tonnes
palm oil was allotted berth at Liquid Cargo Terminal on Sunday, 10th.
In the meantime five more ships C.V UASC Al-Manama, C.V MSC Lucy,
C.V Castro-N, M.T Bahra and M.T Okyroe with containers and Diesel oil
and furnace oil also got anchored at outer anchorage of Port Qasim.
Berth occupancy was managed at 40% at the Port on Sunday where a
total of six berths were engaged by ships C.V Astrid Schulte, M.V
Fast, M.V Tai Progress, M.T Bunga Aster, M.T Genuine Hercules and M.T
Nave Rigel to load/offload containers, coal, soya been seeds,
chemicals, palm oil and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume during last 24 hours stood at 76,765 tonnes,
comprising 55,998 tonnes import cargo and 20,767 tonnes export cargo
inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1, 392 containers (TEUs)
(299 imports TEUs & 1,093 TEUs exports) was handled at the port.

DEPARTURES:
Container vessel astrid schulte sailed out to sea on Monday
morning while two more ships M.T Genulne Hercules and M.T Nave Rigel
are expected to sail on same day (today) afternoon.

ARRIVAL SCHEDULE:
Six ships C.V Casrto-N, C.V Al-Manama, C.R ER Vancouver, M.T
Okyroe and M.T Atlantic Giry carrying containers, furnace oil and
chemicals are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and FOTCO
Terminal respectively on Monday, 11th while two more container ships
Marsk Atlanta and CMA CGM otello are due arrive on Tuesday, 12th.
