Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI, (APP): Five ships C.V Casrto-N, C.V MSC Lucy,
C.V Al-Manama, C.V ER Vancouver and M.T Atlantic Glory carrying
Containers and Chemicals were arranged berthing at Qasim International
Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Monday,
11th July-2016. In the meantime four more ships M.T Lion-M, M.T White
Purl, M.T Globe Tanya and M.V Orhant with containers, furnace oil, LGP
and clinker also got anchored at outer anchorage of Port Qasim.
Berth occupancy was managed at 53% at the Port on Monday where a
total of eight berths were engaged by ships C.V Casrto-N, C.V MSC
Lucy, C.V Al-Manama, C.V ER Vancouver, M.V Fast, M.V Tai Progress, M.T
Bunga Aster, M.T Atlantic Glory and M.T Nave Rigel to load/offload
containers, coal, soya been seeds,chemicals, palm oil and diesel oil
respectively during last 24 hours.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 109,950 tonnes,
comprising 88,271 tonnes import cargo and 21,679 tonnes export cargo
inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,687 containers (TEUs)
(2,546 imports TEUs & 1,141 TEUs exports) was handled at the port.

DEPARTURES:
Three ships MSC Lucy, Neve Rigel and Bunga Aster sailed out to
sea on Tuesday morning while two more ships Al-Manama and ER Vancouver
are expected to sail on same day (today) afternoon.

ARRIVAL SCHEDULE:

Four ships CMA CGM Otello, marsk Atlanta, Truk Gas and Okyroe
carrying containers, LPG and furnace oil are expected to take berths
at QICT, EVTL and FOTCO respectively on Tuesday, 12th while another
ship Northern Jamboree are due arrive on Wednesday, 13th.
