Tokyo shares open down on weaker oil prices

TOKYO, (APP/AFP): Tokyo shares resumed their slide from
the previous day in opening deals on Thursday, following losses on Wall Street and a dip in oil prices.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 0.13
percent, or 21.59 points, to 16,979.39 in opening deals, while the broader
Topix index of all first-section shares fell 0.30 percent, or 4.13 points, to 1,360.07.
