Tokyo stocks open lower as yen rebounds

TOKYO, Japan, July 12, (APP/AFP) – Tokyo stocks opened
lower on Wednesday as the yen edged up against the dollar, weighing on Japanese exporters.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index slipped 0.27 percent, or 55.34 points,
to 20,140.14 in the first few minutes of trading, while the Topix index of all first-section issues was down 0.25 percent, or 4.02 points, at 1,63.12.
