KARACHI, Oct 13 (APP): The U.S. Consul General in Karachi, Grace Shelton, participated in the gong ceremony (ringing the bell) during her first visit to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSE) on Thursday morning. A US Consulate statement said that the Consul General Shelton also held a meeting with the Exchange’s Board of Directors, led by its Chairman Muneer Kamal and Managing Director Nadeem Naqvi. Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Shelton said, “I am here today to express the U.S. government’s deep commitment to Pakistan’s private sector and economic growth. I join the list of American ambassadors and consul generals to participate in the gong ceremony.” she added. “The Pakistan Stock Exchange is an important symbol of Karachi’s role in that pivotal growth”, the US Consul General further stated.
