Ailing Gilani urges Kashmiris to continue struggle with unity

ISLAMABAD, Mar 12 (APP): Ailing Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet
Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has urged the Kashmiri people to carry forward
the ongoing freedom movement with unity.
The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the
octogenarian leader was continuously under the observation in New Delhi’s Max Hospital where doctors were keenly observing his health condition and were regularly performing vital medical investigations, Kashmir Media Service reported.
The spokesman said that Syed Ali Gilani despite being in the hospital
was much concerned regarding the situation in the occupied territory and was
continuously asking for the updates.
He said that in a message to the Kashmiris, the ailing leader said, “We
have to show one and united face in the ongoing freedom struggle. Almighty
Allah will definitely help us and only he can save us from the cruel clutches of India.”
Meanwhile, the APHC spokesman in a statement strongly condemned the
remarks of former puppet Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, regarding Syed Ali
Gilani as frustration of his mind. Omar Abdullah on Friday said that Syed Ali Gilani had supported Janata Party and Morarji Desai and he was not always a pro-freedom person.
The spokesman said, Syed Ali Gilani’s life is an open book and he is
known to whole world for his stand. “He (Gilani) has spent his last 50 years
in acute opposition of the Indian forced occupation in Kashmir and for this
has spent most part of his life in different Indian jails,” he said.
