Credit Suisse European offices ‘visited’ by tax authorities

GENEVA, (MILLAT ONLINE/APP/AFP) – Credit Suisse offices in Paris,
London and Amsterdam have received “visits” from local authorities,
the bank said Friday, amid reports that the offices had been raided
as part of tax fraud probes.
“On March 30, 2017, Credit Suisse offices in London, Paris
and Amsterdam were contacted by local authorities concerning client
tax matters,” the Swiss banking giant said in a statement, adding
that “we are cooperating with the authorities.”
Dutch authorities had earlier Friday indicated that they
were investigating tax fraud suspicions at the bank after
receiving information about hidden accounts, Swiss media
reported.
