Indonesian investors urged to benefit from special economic zones in Punjab

LAHORE, Dec 16 (APP):Punjab Minister for Industries Commerce & Trade Sheikh Alla-u-din said there was a wide opportunity for Indonesia to take interest in the Special Economic Zones being developed in Punjab, as well as auto mobile, construction, food, oil and textile. He expressed these views while chairing a meeting held here Saturday to review the arrangements regarding visit of Indonesian Delegation in Punjab for trade on 19 December. The CEO PBIT said that 14 members of Indonesia would visit Punjab to check potential of the investment opportunities in Punjab regarding business, textile, food etc. He said that Indonesia wanted to construct Jakarta Tower in Lahore and a meeting had been arranged with LDA in this regard. DG Food Authority Punjab Noor-ul- Ameen said that Indonesia was rice consuming country and Pakistan could capture Indonesian market through proper marketing strategy as it produced the best quality rice in a large quantity. The minister directed the CEO PBIT to make all necessary arrangements for Indonesian delegation visit. DG PFA Noor-ul-Ameen, CEO PBIT, Chief Operating Officer Haroon Shaukat, Deputy Secretary Industries Moeed Rana, Deputy Director Protocol Inamul Rehman, DSP Security and other officials concerned were also present at the occasion.
