TANK, (MILLAT/APP): Speakers at a seminar Friday highlighted the need of
making collective efforts to launch a joint struggle in creating awareness among people against Tuberculosis (TB).
Speakers said that goal of eliminating tuberculosis from our social
edifice could only be achieved if each and every society members realize his responsibility and focus energies against the disease. The seminar held at District Health Officer was among others was attended by local elites and elders.
District Health Officer, Dr. Fayyaz Ali said that department has taken
result oriented steps to disseminate information among masses against the disease but better results could be achieved by taking preventive measures.
He said that if someone was suffering with a cough from two weeks with
blood in sputum and weight loss it should immediately report nearby TB clinic for free treatment.
