Jordan’s king discusses with senior US officials Mideast developments

Washington, July 3 (APP/IINA): Jordanian King Abdullah II held a
series of meetings with top US administration officials during his current visit to the United States, Jordan News Agency Petra reported.
King Abdullah discussed developments in the Middle East and ways to
further cement the strategic Jordanian-US partnership during talks with Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Defence Secretary James Mattis, Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly and Jared Kushner, senior adviser to President Donald Trump.
The talks focused on attempts to revive the Palestinian-Israeli peace
process as well as the regional and international efforts in the fight against terrorism, where the importance of intensifying coordination and cooperation among all concerned nations to counter “this danger” was asserted.
The talks also tackled developments related to the Syrian crisis and the situation in Iraq.
