PANAMA CITY, (MILLAT/APP/AFP) – At least 10 people
died Sunday when a bus veered off a highway and flipped into a ditch, the authorities said.
“At the moment, we have at least 10 fatal victims,” Civil Defense officer
Jose Donderis said of the incident near Cienega Vieja in Anton, Cocle province, southwest of Panama City.
Neither the number of passengers, their destination, nor the condition of the injured was immediately known, he said.
Helicopters and ambulances have been sent to the scene, he added.
