US weighing more Russia sanctions: officials
Washington, (MILLAT ONLINE):The White House is weighing additional sanctions against Russia, senior administration officials said Wednesday, pushing back against suggestions Donald Trump’s administration has been a soft touch on Moscow.
Officials said that the United States has set up a task force to address potential 2018 meddling and warned governments around the world — including allies — that they could face sanctions if they carryout “significant transactions” with the Russian military.
“We are doing an awful lot of work, we are taking this very seriously, it is a national security issue,” said one official answering criticism that Trump has not fully implemented Congressionally mandated sanctions.
