White House calls on Gaza demos to avoid border
Washington, (MILLAT ONLINE):The White House on Thursday called on Palestinians to engage in peaceful protest and stay 500 meters from Gaza’s border with Israel, after Israeli troops killed 18 Palestinians.
Amid warnings from the UN that Israel should use “extreme caution” Donald Trump’s envoy Jason Greenblatt put the onus squarely on Palestinians.
On the eve of fresh demonstrations, Greenblatt said protesters “should remain outside the 500-meter buffer zone; and should not approach the border fence in any way or any location.”
