ISLAMABAD, (Millat + APP): Under China Pakistan Economic
Corridor (CPEC), 12 early harvest energy generation projects
including Sahiwal coal fired project, Port Qasim power plant and
Karot Hydropower station will be completed by the end of next
year.
According to Radio Pakistan quoting official sources, that these energy
generation projects will produce over 5000 MW of electricity and help overcome demand supply gap in the country.
they said that the government is also focusing on the mega hydro
project of Diamer Bhasha dam which will also enhance water storage
capacity of the country.
The land acquisition process for the project has been
completed spending Rs.101 billion and project will be completed within 8-10 years.
