20 more sacked teachers reinstated in Mansehra

MANSEHRA, (MILLAT ONLINE):The Education department Mansehra on Thursday reinstated 20 more out of 300 suspended teachers following the orders
of Peshawar High Court (PHC) Abbottabad Bench.
The PHC had ordered to reinstate all 300 sacked PTC teachers
before Dec 19 while the department had assured the court to implement
the orders.
District Education Officer Manshera, Arbab Zafar Abbasi had reinstated
27 teachers and now the orders for 20 more teachers have been reinstated.
Earlier, during the month of October, hundreds of reinstated
teachers staged a protest rally against the Education department for
violating the court verdict and filed a petition against the department in PHC
Abbottabad bench.
Teachers those were sacked during 1998 were reinstated by
the Supreme Court in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after 19 years but the Education Department
Manshera has not yet allowed male and female teachers to join the department.
On the other hand many teachers of Haripur have joined their duties.
During 2012, the KPK government passed an act through which 30 percent of sacked
employees would be reinstated with every new induction following the orders of the Supreme
Court of Pakistan — many teachers and clerical staff has been reinstated through
this formula in KPK but the Education Department has ignored the sacked
employees of Abbottabad and Manshera district.
The Peshawar High Court (PHC) Abbottabad bench has given the
verdict in favour of sacked employees during the year 2016 which was challenged
by the provincial government in SC but the apex court kept the PHC verdict on
April 25, 2017.
