98,733 youth got skill education from 2014

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE/APP): As many as 98,733 youth has so far
received skilled development training of various vocational skills
from 2014 under Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme.
These students have completed their training in first three
phases of the programme while the 100,000 more would be trained in
the next fiscal year i.e 2017-18 under phase IV in two batches.
Under the first phase, 24,831 were trained during the year
2014, while in phase II, 20,392 youngsters passed out in 2015,
official sources told APP.
In phase III, 25000 talented persons are inducted to be
trained in phase one during this year which started their session
from January, official sources told APP.
Under the Phase-IV, they informed that the sectors of
Agriculture, Health/Paramedics, Business and IT, Hospitality and
Tourism, Media related trades, Fashion and Beauty, Manufacturing
industry including, Textile (Home textile fabrics, Garments,
Knitwear and Hosiery, Sports Goods and Wears manufacturing, Leather
Goods manufacturing, Glass ceramics and Pottery and Surgical
instruments manufacturing would be focussed.
They informed that National Training Bureau (NTB) Islamabad is
imparting training of trainees and certification to the talented
youth.
During 2013-16, 03-months, 06 months, 01 year and 02 years
training courses in more than 80 trades were conducted at this
center for the development of Human Resource in the country.
More than 25000 trainees were trained in affiliated institutes
of NTB. Furthermore, National Staff Training Institute,
working under the National Training Bureau trained 836
Instructors/Trainers from various government/semi-government
agencies during 2013-16.
The skills imparted from the institution included
Pedagogic/Teaching Techniques, Managerial Skills, Environmental
Health and Safety, Camera/Lighting Techniques, Computer Training,
Skill Up-gradation in CNC, PLC, Civil/Quantity Surveyor and First
Aid Training.
