a48 accused including 27 Afghan nationals apprehended

HAFIZABAD, Feb 20 (MILLAT): District Police in collaboration with Elite Force and other law enforcement agencies launched combing operation under the National Action Plan during the past two days and apprehended 48 accused including 27 Afghan nationals and a proclaimed offender wanted by police, besides seizing arms and ammunitions from them.
Cases have been registered against 27 Afghanis including Umar Khan, Sargand Khan, Mashoor Khan, Khalid Khan, Ehsan Ullah, Habib Ullah Khan, Syed Afzal, Ahmad Jan, Abdul Wahab, Sher Hassan, Taj Muhammad and Akbar Khan.
As many as 73 suspects were apprehended during the past 24 hours but were released after biometric and other particulars’ verification while 10 others were being interrogated for their suspicious activities.
According to DPO Dr. Ghias Gull, the search operations under the NAP would be continued and all-out efforts would be made to provide sense of security to the masses.
