Aasiya Andrabi among many injured, Mirwaiz arrested in IOK

ISLAMABAD, (APP): Dozens of women including the
Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Aasiya Andrabi in Indian
occupied Kashmir were injured when Indian armed forces fired
teargas shells to quell a women march in south Kashmir’s Tral
town.
Raising pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans, the women
protested on the streets carrying Pakistani flags.Aasiya Andrabi
had defied curfew and restrictions and managed to reach Tral to
lead the rally, as part of the referendum march, call for which
was jointly given by the Hurriyet leadership, KMS reported.
In another incident, at least a dozen people were injured in
Malangpora area of Pulwama district after armed forces used force
on participants of a rally.The rally was taken out as part of
Referendum March, call for which was jointly given by the Hurriyet
leadership.
On the other hand, several pro-Pakistan rallies were held in
Kodwani and Batpora areas of Kulgam and Islamabad to commemorate
the Pakistan Independence day.
Thousands of people attended both the rallies which also saw
waving of several Pakistani flags.They said Pakistani flags were
also hoisted on many telecommunication towers and buildings in
other areas of south Kashmir.
