ACE initiates inquiry in Sindhi Adabi Board’s matters

HYDERABAD, Dec 03 (APP):The Sindh Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE), Jamshoro district, has initiated an inquiry in the suspected irregularities in the Sindh Adabi Board.
According to a letter written on Friday by ACE’s inquiry officer Muneer Ahmed Soomro to Chairman of the Board, the later had been asked to submit the required record by December 6.The officer asked the board to provide details of the sale of an unspecified number printing machines which were sold during tenure of Inam Shaikh and Aijaz Mangi as the board’s secretaries.
The board had also been asked to submit the lists of appointments, promotions and the seniority from July 2005 to June 2008. The ACE had also required the departmental inquiries which were conducted with regard to the sale of machines, appointments and promotions.The board’s functions include publishing books on the subjects of Sindhi and translated literature, poetry, philosophy, history and mysticism (sufism). It was founded as Central Advisory Board for Sindhi Literature in 1940 and later renamed as Sindhi Adabi Board in 1951.
