AJK PM terms financial discipline vital for good governance

MUZAFFARABAD,(MILLAT ONLINE):Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haidar Khan while terming the financial discipline vital for good governance, on Thursday said that his government has done a lot in just one-and-a-half-year for setting up a financial discipline in Azad Kashmir.
He was talking to Controller General Accounts (CGA), Shughufta Khanam here at PM Secretariat office.
Accountant General Muhammad Ayaz, Director General Accounts CGA
Umer Zaffar Shaikh, and Additional Accountant General Muhammad Mohsin Rana were
also present on the occasion.
He said “our government has focused on modern technology
and taken concrete steps for completely computerising AG office and it is
appreciative that now the employees and other consumers are not confronting difficulties
as they were facing in the past”.
He said besides, employees, pensioners have not to wait in
long queues and now their amount is directly transmitted in their accounts.
The AJK PM observed that computerisation of salaries and
pensions will not only help to facilitate the people but also be helpful for
establishing the financial discipline.
Farooq on this occasion also commended the efforts of AJK
Accountant General for maintaining financial discipline and promoting
transparency in the department.
