of a graveyard to a playfield and demolition of more than forty graves in Samba district of Jammu region. He said that Muslims in Jammu were being targeted and harassed on the behest of communal forces. “It will have dire consequences if not stopped now,” he warned.
Syed Ali Gilani said that the puppet regime was working on the directions of a BJP cabinet minister and revenue records revealed that the said piece of land was sole property of Aqaf-e-Islamia and since long was notified for graveyard. He pointed out that the PDP-BJP regime since its inception was exercising its shrived plans against Muslims and they were being harassed on one pretext or the other. He said that these groups
since long are playing foul and properties and lands belonging to Muslim community were grabbed and trespassed.
Referring to communal sections, the APHC Chairman said that these people claimed mosques and graveyards their properties and whenever
Muslims resented their claims, they were beleaguered and victimized. We
are keeping strict vigil and we will fight tooth and nail if harassment
is not stopped, he added.
