APHC concerned over Kashmiri detainees’ plight in Tihar Jail

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) in Indian Occupied Kashmir has expressed serious concern over the miserable plight of illegally detained Kashmiris lodged in Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The woeful tale of miseries and torture of the Kashmiri prisoners in Tihar Jail is a serious concern for us as authorities in Tihar are unnecessarily harassing and thrashing detainees on one pretext or the other.”
It said that the Kashmiri prisoners in the jail were being harassed by the authorities and in a recent incident, Shahid Yousuf, son of Syed Salahuddin, was beaten to pulp, injuring his head and one arm.
The APHC pointed out that the jail inmates face life threats from criminals as they have been lodged in barracks specified for criminals. It warned the puppet administration of occupied Kashmir saying that if any untoward incident happened, the local puppet rulers would have to face consequences.
The APHC urged the world human rights organizations including the International Committee of Red Cross and Amnesty International to take note of pathetic condition of the Kashmiri prisoners and use their influence for their immediate release.
