ISLAMABAD, (APP): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference strongly
condemning the continued illegal detention of a 10-year-old boy, Mohammad Ismail Khan of Nowhatta area of Srinagar, has demanded his immediate release.
Mohammad Ismail Khan, a resident of Nowhatta area of Srinagar, has
been detained after he was picked up by Indian police on the 11th of this month for participating in anti-India demonstrations and waving Pakistani flag, KMS reported.
The APHC spokesman, Ayaz Akbar, in a statement issued in held Srinagar
said, “Such an example of filing of FIR against the 10-year-old child is extremely hard to find anywhere in the world. It happens only in Kashmir.”
He said that the civil administration in the territory was just for
the name and all the powers and authority were lying in the hands of Indian Army and police.
“Whenever they wish, they will kill anybody and can imprison anyone
and they don’t need any reason for that. No armed personnel is answerable before anybody and nor does the civil administration has powers to restrict their will,” he said.
The spokesman said that whoever was ruling occupied Kashmir be it NC,
PDP or the governor’s rule, the situation remained unchanged.
“There is no letup in the state terrorism in Kashmir. Jammu and
Kashmir is actually directly ruled by the Indian Home Ministry with the help of the presence of huge occupational forces in the territory,” he added.
The spokesman appealed to the Amnesty International, international
child right organization UNICEF and other human rights organizations to take strong notice of the detention of the minor child and use their influence for his immediate release.
