Balochistan Accountability Court sends Magsi to prison

QUETTA, (APP): The Accountability Court has sent Ashraf
Magsi, former chairman, Balochistan Service Commission to prison
on judicial remand who was produced before the court by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan in a case pertaining to
misuse of powers and minting money through illegal recruitments.
A spokesman for the NAB Balochistan said, here on Friday that
the NAB Balochistan had taken Ashraf Magsi into custody in case lodged against him for misuse of powers and minting money through illegal appointments.
“Getting benefit of his position in the Balochistan Public Service
Commission as the chairman, Magsi got his two daughters recruited
against post of grade-17 in government departments while they had
fake degrees,” he said, adding that the accused also got recruited
his son against the post of Section Officer through illegal ways.
He further said that the accused minted huge money by providing
his help as chairman Balochistan Service Commission in recruitment
of several people through competition examinations.
The NAB spokesman said that the accused, Magsi would brought
before the court again on May 16.
