Buffalo beauty contest held in Swat

SWAT, (MILLAT ONLINE/APP): Highlighting the importance of breeding high class
Azikheli brand of buffaloes, for the first time a beauty contest of these buffaloes was arranged here in Khwazakhela area.
The two-day event was sponsored by International Animal Research Council
wherein around 200 buffaloes of Azikheli breed were brought for taking part in this contest.
Advisor to Chief Minister for Livestock, Muhibullah Khan said the
Azikheli breed of buffalo was faced with extinction and objective behind this event was to create awareness among people about importance of breeding this beautiful animal at their places.
This platform, he said would provide valuable information to farmers
regarding bringing up this beautiful and profitable breed and help increase number of Azikheli breed.
The owner of the buffalo obtaining first position was awarded with a
cash prize of Rs 75,000 while the second and thirds position holders’ owners got Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.
Muhibullah Khan distributed cash prizes and trophies among the winners.
