FAISALABAD, Dec 25 (APP)::Christian community celebrated the Christmas with traditional fervor and religious zeal here on Monday.
The religious gatherings were started last night in well-decorated and profusely illuminated churches of the city.
Addressing a special prayer in Holy Rozi Church Madina Town here Monday, Priest Khalid Rasheed Aasi underlined the importance of love and peace for this world and said that Christians must follow the
teachings of Holy Christ to achieve these objectives.
He asked the Christians to share the blessings of Christmas with
poor segments of the society by providing them maximum moral, religious
and financial support.
He also urged them to play their role for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
Another function was held in Catholic Church in which MPA Khalid
Saeed and Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani participated.
Deputy Commissioner said that Christian community was an important
part of our society and it was extending significant services in all fields. He said that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal
rights to all minorities including Christian community.
