Civil society in IoK demanded resolution of kashmir dispute

ISLAMABAD, Oct 27 (APP): The civil society group, Kashmir Centre for Social and Development Studies (KCSDS), High Court Bar Association (HCBA), and business bodies have demanded resolution of the Kashmir dispute for peace and prosperity of the region. According to KMS, KCSDS, HCBA and the business bodies, Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI), Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA), made the demand during meetings with the 5-member New Delhi delegation led by former Indian Minister and ruling Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Yashwant Sinha. The delegation held separate meetings with representatives of KCSDS, HCBA,KCCI and KEA, who stressed on the final settlement of the lingering dispute. After meeting the delegation, the KCSDS Chairperson, Professor Hameedah Nayeem in a statement said, “During the meet we urged the Indian government to resolve the Kashmir dispute in its historical perspective and as per the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
