ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT/APP): One civilian was martyred after
being hit by a bullet of Indian troops in Chadoora area of Budgam
district,in Indian occupied Kashmir today.
The youth identified as Zahid Rashid, in early 20’s had
received the bullet in his neck and was initially treated at sub-
district hospital Chadoora where from he was referred to SMHS
Srinagar, KMS reported.
The doctors at hospital said that Zahid was brought dead.
Zahid Rashid was among protesters who had gathered at
Chadoora to rescue some youth besieged by Indian forces. Severe
clashes took place between protesters and the forces’ personnel.
Indian forces also destroyed a house after using mortar
shells in the same area. The loss of lives was yet to be
ascertained.
Media reports said that locals were pelting stones on the
forces in an attempt to help trapped youth flee. More details are
awaited.
