SIALKOT, June 02 (APP): Commissioner Gujranwala Division Capt (Rtd)
Muhammad Asif on Friday visited Jammu River and Tavi River near Saidpur, Head Marala, from where an accused contractor Nadeem had illegally stolen the sand (worth millions of rupees) besides, weekening the embarkments, spurs and protective dykes of the rivers.

Dr.Umer Sher Chatta and senior officials of Irrigation Department also accompanied the Commissioner.
On this occasion, Commissioner ordered a departmental probe against all
the responsible officials for their negligence in this regard. He appointed Sialkot DC Dr. Asif Tufail as an inquiry officer to this regard.
