Consensus on 22nd Amendment positive step: Durrani

ISLAMABAD, May 19 (APP): Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Akram
Khan Durrani said on Thursday that consensus would be developed soon on terms of references (ToRs) as like the house unanimously adopted 22nd Amendment in the Constitution.
Talking to newsmen outside the Parliament House, he said the
government had given suggestion to include a member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement in the parliamentary committee to form terms of references for Judicial Commission to probe Panama allegations.
He said investigation and accountability of every person should be
made who has been involved in the activities of corruption and write off loans from banks.
To a question, the Minister said the increase in salaries and
allowances of members of the parliament was a good step, but
currently, it is still low as compared to other countries of the world.
Many members, he said, don’t have any other source of income and
rely on only their salaries.
